Off To A Marshall Basketball Game

Jim and Maci are headed out this evening to a Marshall Basketball Game in Huntington. Maci is all ready with her Nike Marshall T and her Marshall crocks. She's dressed for the game! Doesn't she just look so sweet?
Well, you must remember that she is going with her Dad. Below is a picture of Jim in his Marshall Football Season attire. I posted this picture in case you had forgotten the "look" (although I don't think anyone who has seen it before would forget). I also wanted to contrast it to his Marshall Basketball Season attire. I'm sorry to even have to put this on the blog....but it's our life, and we LOVE him, so......
I hope you're ready......
Maci has a good friend, Sarah, and her father and Jim went to grade school together and were friends. Sarah's grandma (Jim's friends mother) made this hat for Maci and as soon as she walked in the door with it, three guesses who grabbed it up? If he weren't so dang good looking, he couldn't pull this look off.
Jim also found this leather jacket (notice that it has the "old" Marshall mascot - Marco with the sailors hat) and had to have it. He now will only wear, buy, hang, or display items that have this mascot on them. Talk about hard to find! Anyway this leather jacket is one of his prized possessions.
And here they are ready to leave. What memories are being made! I just hope that the memories don't scar our children for life. Hope the team wins and wins big. Marshall doesn't have two bigger fans than these guys!!

Maci and Her Youth Group Go Tubing

Maci and her Grass Lick Baptist Church Youth Group went tubing at Winter Place
on Saturday night. Maci designed this t-shirt for the group which is called...C.H.A.O.S. The back of the T's had their nicknames.
Maci's is maymae and her friend KayLee's is kaykae (how cute).
This is Maci and KayLee. They are best buds.
This is the whole youth group.
After tubing, they stopped and ate "dinner/breakfast" at about 1am on the way home at IHop. Then it was a snowy trip home on the interstate.
Thankfully, there were no injuries and everyone had a GREAT time.

The Jewelry and Pampered Chef Have Arrived

On Friday, Paula and I went to Tara's house and helped her sort through the Lia Sophia jewelry orders. Oh we had such fun, trying on everyone's jewelry. I love when a new order of Lia Sophia comes in!!!! Plus, it was so fun to sort through everyone's. Tara fed us taco salad, then we had just a great evening. Lots of oooh's, and aaaah's and laughter. A great ending to the work week. The white bracelet and earrings are mine, the necklace is for Maci, and the silver bracelet is for Molli. Morgan didn't get anything because she hates jewelry. (Maybe it gets in the way when she is drawing and designing at the architecture table?) Then, on Saturday, when Jim and I came back from town, there were three BIG boxes of Pampered Chef in the dining room. More fun!!! I immediately called Paula, who came right over with a plate of cookies, and we looked through everyones orders of the Pampered Chef. Another great evening of oooh's, aaah's, and laughter (Tyler also had a lot of fun making fun of us). The picture is of Molli with all of the free stuff she earned from the party her future mother-in-law held for her. If you ordered anything.....Thank You So Much! I think that Molli is almost all set for her new kitchen. How nice would that be to start out again with ALL new stuff.

Valentine's Day Gifts

Love is in the Air.....On Friday, my friend, Carolyn held a Valentine's Day lunch with delicious potato soup, tomato soup, ham sandwiches, turkey sandwiches, with cookies and brownies for dessert. The meal was wonderful. She also got me this cute candy bouquet. What a cute idea! I'm going to remember this and steal it for a gift idea someday. Carolyn is so thoughtful! This is Molli's Valentine's Day gift.
She has a job now and likes to get cappuccino in the mornings on the way to work and sometimes in the afternoon on her way to school, so we got her this travel mug with a gift card to Loves and a gift card to McDonald's. She also got a few sweets although she doesn't eat much candy.
But, what is Valentine's Day without candy?
Molli with her "goodies".
We had to mail Morgan's Valentine's Day Gift to her at UT.
Her friend, Austin, took these pictures for me.
We love you, Morgan!
Hope you had a GREAT Valentine's Day! She's ripping in to it.....
....tearing it open.

Gum balls with a heart stamp in the end of it.
She has stamped her hand, but the pictures did not turn out so well.
The sucker says...Call Me....so she did!
Maci's Valentine's Day gift.
It just has a picture of the pair of wellies that she wanted.
I ordered them, they just didn't get here in time.
Maci with her "gift".
Tyler opening his Valentine's Day gift from Molli.
And, of course, being silly.
Tyler's Valentine's Day gifts.
This is TOO SWEET. Every year, Jim gets the girls a little heart of candy just from him. It's not much, but the girls act like it is a big diamond. I guess it just makes them feel special because it is from their dad. And, he does it because they ARE special to him. He loves his girls.

This year, Jim had to mail Morgan's heart to her. The first time he hasn't gotten to give "his" heart to one of "his girls" without a hug involved. Makes me want to cry.
Molli with her Dad's "heart". Maci receiving her Dad's "heart" with a hug.
My Sweetheart! He's MY Valentine! My Valentine's Day gift was dinner at Logan's and a manicure/pedicure.
Yeah!! I'm making my appointment now. I can't wait!
Little Miss Kensley actually liked the bag better than the gifts inside.
Isn't that little face priceless? She likes the doll. Kensley with her "goodies".

I am so blessed with all of these people that I love!

A Lia Sophia Jewelry Party

I LOVE this jewelry. Actually, this is the ONLY jewelry I wear. My cousin, Brandi Thompson, started selling this and I AM HOOKED. The jewelry sells itself. Everything is even more beautiful in person than it is in the catalog. Plus, Brandi always lets me pick out a "bonus" item.

Tara's parties are the BEST to go to. Not only do we have fun, get to buy gorgeous jewelry, but.....we also get fed dinner. Tara always cooks delicious meals. This time we had taco salad, baked spaghetti, vegetables, and a chocolate, caramel, creamy, scrumptious dessert.

Brandi adding up Paula's purchase and Paula writing out the check. Paula was the first to make a list of all the jewelry she wanted from the catalog. Then, at the next party, I made a list. This time, I had my list, Tara told me she had made a list, but.....Paula not only made a list this time, she put it on a spreadsheet that added up her "wish list" as she added to it. We just can't top Paula. (By the way, her wish list was $1,700+. Don't tell Greg...I don't think that was the amount on the check she is writing.)

Best Friends, Maci and Sarah. Maci and Sarah go to the jewelry parties to watch Brandi's sweet kiddos, Carson and Faith. On this evening, they were helping Carson and Faith make Valentine's Day cookies for their preschool Valentine's Day Party.

Molli's future Mother-in-Law, Teresa Evans, held a Pampered Chef party and gave the "points" to Molli to receive free items for her home. We had such a good time visiting, eating the deliciously prepared food, and then ordering items that will help us become masters of the kitchen. After all orders had been processed, Molli got to choose $265 worth of "free" merchandise. This was such a good idea. Free food, good company, well made and helpful kitchen tools to order, and free stuff for Molli....what could be a better idea?

Some of the yummy, yummy, food that was prepared at the party.

Thanks Teresa! I couldn't ask for a better Mother-in-Law for Molli!
