On Thursday, Jim and I took Maci to WL for her orientation.
It was a beautiful day outside. We left at 5am to be there by 8:30am. It didn't take us that long, but we didn't want to arrive late. The campus is an older campus. The buildings are fairly close together so getting to and from class won't be a problem.
The architecture is beautiful.

Her dorm room.
Her floor bathroom.
Maybe we'll see Maci out on this football field one day.
Maci and her best friend since birth, Gabri, always made plans to go to Marshall University and room together. Well, throughout the years, majors changed, Gabri became a runner, other circumstances came in to play, and neither of the girls are headed to Huntington.
Maci was accepted in to the dental hygiene program at West Liberty and Gabri got a track scholarship to Bethany College.
But, guess what?
The two schools are only six miles apart.
Isn't God great?
The next best thing to living together....plans to talk daily, visit regularly, and stay together every weekend. So while we were checking out West Lib, we had to travel a few more miles and check out Gabri's new "home away from home".
The campus is absolutely beautiful.
I understand where Morgan got her love of architecture...I couldn't stop taking pictures.
After the orientation and visiting Gabri's Bethany College, of course, we had to make a stop here...
After hours in Cabela's...we got a bite to eat and Maci and I decided on the furniture arrangement for her dorm, and made a shopping list of what we still needed to purchase to make her room her new "home away from home".
We traveled home...
and as I listened to this beautiful voice, I prayed that she will always know that no one, on the face of this earth, loves her like the people who call....
