Ripley has America's Largest Small Town 4th of July celebration! And, I love every minute of it!! We headed to the parade this morning and Alex was already there waiting. We always sit at Pete's Hotdogs to watch the parade and to visit with our friends that we only see during the fourth.
Before the parade, there is a 5k race along the parade route. Always at least one spectacle.
And the biggest reason we watch the parade......Ripley High School Pride of Jackson County...The Fighting Viking Marching Band! Led by none other than our own, Maci Oiler!
And there is always candy be thrown off of the floats, with kiddos ready to scramble to pick it up.
The Petersen's.....Alex, Charlie, and Tarah.
Grayson and Riley representing the Fairplain Union Church.
Uncle Kenneth representing the Ripley Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Molli walking for Ravenswood Eyecare.
And Tyler was the driver.
After the parade, we headed to Pete and Janice's for brown beans, white beans, cornbread, sandwiches, and dessert. I took my Oreo brownies, sugar cookies, and fruit pizza.
The kiddos, big and small, jumped on the tramp. TL had a good time.
What a great celebration with family and friends.
