Enos Edward Oliver, 82, of the Evergreen Hills community, Cottageville, passed away March 26, 2011 at the Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pt. Pleasant, following an extended illness.
He was born June 13, 1928, in Cannelton, a son of the late Robert and Ada Ferrell Oliver. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny Oliver, Lewis Oliver, Charles Oliver, Robert Aldridge and Ira Aldridge; sisters, Virgie Arthur, Edith Hudson, and Rosalie Kessler.
He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War, and was a retired cell operator from Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corporation, Ravenswood Works, and a member of the United Steelworkers Union, Local No. 5668, Ravenswood.
Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Virginia Elizabeth (Oiler) Oliver; son and his wife, James F. and Lucinda F. (Hall) Oiler of Ripley; daughters, Sharon Rose (Oliver) Owens and her husband, James W. Owens, of Millwood, and Karen Elaine (Oliver) Keller and her husband, Gene A Keller of Parkersburg; sisters, Glendola Cox of Rand, Lucille Brown if Waukesha, WI, and Lena Hasket of Cannelton;' grandchildren, Jeni Rose (Owens) Smith and her husband, John Smith of Kenna, Molli Michael (Oiler) Markham and her husband, Tyler R. Markham of Ripley, Morgan Faith Oiler and Maci James Oiler both of Ripley; great grandchildren, Riley James Smith ad Grayson Rose Smith of Kenna.
Graveside services and military honors by American Legion Post #107 will be at 1 pm on Monday, March 28, 2011 at Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville with the Rev. John Smith officiating. Casto Funeral Home in Evans is providing arrangements.
