Highschool Football.....Ripley vs. Winfield

Football season is so fun!  

Molli and Tyler usually get to come to the games.  Sometimes Paula is there.  My friend, Carrie's son just started playing on JV, so she is at the games.  It is just a good time!!!

 Two, of the three, loves of our lives!

At this game, a little after halftime, a wire fell on to the home bleachers and all of the Winfield watchers had to exit off of the metal bleachers.  The band buses were parked in the way of the emergency vehicles, so the band had to leave the game early.  This was a very hot evening so the band members had left the bus windows down.  Winfield students took the sprinklers and sprayed the water in to the buses without anyone knowing so the bus seats and anything that was left on the bus was soaked.  There wasn't time for the band members to change from their uniforms so they were going to have to do that on the bus trip home, and now on a wet bus.  So, we brought Maci and Katie home with us.  They changed out of their skirts between the parked vehicles and rode in the back seat of Jim's truck on the way home.  I loved it.  Listening to their excited voices about what had happened that night, the upcoming activities at school, who said what.....and on and on!  We're definitely going to miss times like these.
