On Saturday, we celebrated Maci's 17th Birthday with a Forrest Gump Birthday Party. She LOVES the Forrest Gump movie! She has eaten at Bubba Gumps restaurants in Chicago, Tennessee, and Orlando, Florida.
We started the evening with a dinner of shrimp and potatoes, shrimp soup, shrimp burgers, shrimp creole, shrimp salad, shrimp sandwich, shrimp stew, etc.... Not really! But Jim did fix popcorn shrimp and
boiled shrimp,
corn on the cob, baked beans,
along with Forrest's drink of choice.....Dr. Pepper.

After cake and home made ice cream, the kids played Apples to Apples outside.
Tyler and Molli purchased this "ride" recently and Jim had to take a spin.

The plan included, of course, watching the Forrest Gump movie, outside using Morgan's projector. We had popcorn to eat,
along with movie candy and, of course, Dr. Pepper.
But, while waiting for it to get dark, the kids went to the City Park to play a little tennis. When they came back, Kyler brought some fireworks with him so this is how we spent the rest of the evening......
What a fun time! I love a house full of kids!!!

Loved the pictures from the party. It was a nice theme and the food and decorations seem to be wonderful. Maci must have surely enjoyed her birthday celebration. My daughter will be 16 next week so we’re also planning an amazing party for her at one of my favorite venues in Los Angeles.
