Our Cute Tennis Star

Just a few pictures of Maci on the court.  It's been too cold for her to wear her cute tennis skirt, so more pictures will come of later games when she's playing in all her cuteness.

Entertainment at it's Finest, and Dining at it's Worst!

~This is entertainment, at it's finest~
Maci was chosen to sing in the All-State Chamber Choir in Huntington.  She performed, on stage at the Keith Albee Theater, on Saturday, March 26, 2011.
You are not permitted to take flash photos during the performance, so here she is before performing.

 The entire choir.
Listening to those voices, blended together, is amazing.  God has truly blessed Maci with a beautiful voice, and our prayer is that she chooses to use it for his glory all her days.

~This is dining at it's worst~
Hillbilly Hotdogs
I must preface this part of the post with......I did NOT eat anything from this establishment, restaurant, wienie stand, whatever it is!

This is inside.  EVERYTHING is covered with magic marker graffiti.
 This is the seating area.
Jim and Maci each got a hotdog to go.  They are still alive and suffered no stomache distress as of this post (amazing).

Also, before the performance, we went to Five Guys for lunch.  Jim and Maci talked me in to eating a french fry.  I had not had a french fry for 15 months~ over a year!  Anyway, they were delicious!  I have fallen off the wagon!  But, I'm only going to eat good french fries (not fast food fries) from here on out.

Can You Ever Have Too Many.........

 .....Shoes?  No you can't!
.....Purses?  No Way!
.....Golf Clubs?  Nope!  That's what Jim says anyway!
.....T-shirts?  Oh, yes you can.

Maci brought these two home today.  One for Jim and one for her.
This is just a very, very small stack of the many, many, t-shirts Jim has.   Just one of many stacks.  Marshall short sleeved t-shirts.  Marshall long sleeved t-shirts.  RHS t-shirts.  Religious t-shirts.  Toyota t-shirts.  Too many to list.
These are just a few of the many, many, many t-shirts Maci owns.
There are stacks behind these stacks.
 Stacks of Marshall t-shirts.
Stacks of Ripley High School t-shirts.
Stacks of RHS band t-shirts.
Stacks of religious t-shirts.
Stacks of RHS chorus t-shirts.
Stacks of Camp Cowen t-shirts.
Stacks of various church t-shirts.
Stacks of long sleeved t-shirts.
A stack of Bubba Gump's t-shirts.
And the stacks go on and on......

So, what do you think?
Can you have too many t-shirts?
YES you can!
And Yes We Do!

Spring Break Ends Too, Too Soon

On Sunday, it was time for Morgan to head back to UT.  A week for Spring Break is definitely not long enough.  We took her to Buffalo to meet her ride, Chelsie Bush, at 10am.

Girls have lots of stuff!  The trunk was full......
the backseat was full....
and the front seats were full of the most precious cargo in the whole world......Morgan and Chelsie.
Morgan and Maci right before the departure.
I begin missing her before she even pulls away from our vehicle.  She is such a tremendous help while she is at home, and such a pleasure to be around.  She visits Mom and takes her on outings...she is a great granddaughter.  She runs errands for me.  It is just nice to know that she is close by.  I just get used to her being here, and then its time for her to leave.  I love her so, so much!

Well, now it's just down to this one again......she'll get our undivided attention {grin}.

Got the text from Morgan....I'm back.  Short and sweet, but at the least, I know that she's made it safely back to school.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.  Psalm 147:3

A "Much Needed" Visit to the Electronics Guru

Saturday evening, Morgan and I went to Janice and Pete's for a visit.
Janice needed a form that Morgan had to print out.
I needed to visit with Charlie because there were a "few" computer/blog/iPhone issues that I needed for him to explain to me {I bet he loves to see me coming}.
And, the #1 reason we needed to go....

....we needed to see this little cutie and get our
'Alex fix'!

Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.  Psalm 31:24

A Practice Wrap

One of Maci's high school classes is Athletic Training.  She periodically needs "live" subjects to practice on.
Today was Jim's lucky day.
Maci carefully wrapping the ankle and foot.

 It's a wrap {ha, ha, ha}....
Doesn't he look thrilled to be the patient?
After a few hours, now it's time to take the wrap off.

Doesn't look as fun coming off as it did going on.
Even the 'architect in training' had to give a helping hand.
I'm betting that I will get to be the next "lucky" patient.

Hope she learned what she needed to know on this ONE practice {grin}.

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength  of my heart and my portion forever.  Psalm 73:26

A Trip to Hall's Greenhouse

One day during Morgan's Spring Break she took Granny to Hall's Greenhouse.  Barbara and Fred have been working very hard for a couple of months already so that the plants will be ready for Spring planting.  The flowers are already looking beautiful.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.  Romans 12:12

She's home for a Spring Break

Morgan rode home with Chelsie Bush from TN for Spring Break.  Jim and Maci met them at Buffalo and brought Morgan home....She's definitely a UT girl now.

Along with the girl, comes her stuff, stuff, and more stuff.
She was only home a matter of minutes till she and Maci decided to hit the tennis courts for a game or two.
Molli, Tyler, and Gidget came over Saturday evening for dinner.
 Molli and Gidget.
Gidget with her Auntie Morgan {ha}.
Our girls.  I LOVE when they are all here together!
I'm a little behind on my posts, but I'm attempting to catch up.

When I am afraid, I will trust in you.  In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid.  What can mortal man to do me?  Psalm 56:3-4
