Fall

I LOVE Fall!
I LOVE to decorate!!
This is your fair warning.....this is going to be a very boring post for you.
I just want pictures, so that I will remember, my Fall decorations.

West Ripley Baptist Church Picnic

Our Church Picnic was held on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Cedar Lakes.  It was a beautiful Fall day.  The food was delicious, the fellowship sweet, and the memories precious!  There is nothing like a church family.  Brothers and sisters in Christ.  Here are just a few of the snapshots I took throughout the day....

Maci had lots of homework to get completed before Monday morning.

Vince was the Master Griller.

Franklin, our Youth Pastor.

There always needs to be a baby at a picnic.  And he sure is a cute one.

Elijah

Sam

Jim had to have his picture taken with this UT lawn chair.  The chair belongs to Jim Scott, the choir director, who is from TN.  Jim wanted his picture taken so that he could send it to Morgan.

Pastor Jack and his wife Tina talking a leisurely stroll.  We sure are glad to have him back home!

On their way back.

Russ playing some cornhole.

Olivia was my "model" for the day.  I got to take a lot of cute shots of her.

Sam playing horseshoes.  And, his shirt says it all!

I think that this cupcake must have been YUMMY!  I wouldn't try to take it away from him.

Jim and Maci just relaxing toward the end of the day.

If you don't have a church family, I invite you to come and worship with us.  I'd also encourage you to find a church family that you can worship with regularly.  There is nothing like a loving church family!

Black Walnut Festival

On Saturday, October 15, 2011 was the 57th West Virginia Black Walnut Festival Annual Marching Band Competition.  Jim went to watch Maci perform while I was at the wedding with Molli.
Ripley High School won this competition in 2008 while Maci was a freshman.  They had not won for over two decades before 2008.  It was very, very exciting when they took home this honor.
Ripley High School performed this year, and were named the Black Walnut Festival......
Grand Champion
and
Honor Band!!
Very, Very, Very Exciting!
The band buses received a Police and Fire Truck escort back in to town!

Below are the band members that were on the field to accept awards.

Following are all of the senior band members.

What a way to go out RHS Fighting Viking Marching Band....the Pride of Jackson County!
