Towards the end of football season, Ripley High School has a Senior Parent Night. All seniors on the football team, in the band, cheerleaders, and soccer team, along with their parents, are announced during pregame of a home football game.
The parents escort their child around the track and is then announced by the press box. The principal shakes our hands, and presents the mother with a flower.
How did we get here so fast?
She is still the same adorable, funny, talented, beautiful little girl when I look at her. But tonight tells me, once again, that she has grown up in to an adorable, funny, talented, beautiful young woman.
She has the whole world in front of her! And she belongs to God who, so carefully, holds her in the palm of his hand and directs her path. Therefore, I will enjoy these last precious high school moments.
We made it!
