Homecoming Parade

The Homecoming Parade was held in Ripley on Friday at 1:30pm.  I took the rest of the day off work so that I could watch the parade.  Lineup was at the Ripley Middle School.  The parade left Ripley Middle School, went past Ripley High School, then over to the Ripley Elementary School so that all the students could see the parade.  It then came down Charleston Drive and turned on to Main Street at Ripley City Hall headed back to the Middle School.  Mom, Molli, Tyler, Paula, T.L., and I watched from a "tent" that Tyler set up on the City Hall parking lot.  It was a very cold and rainy day.  Luckily, the rain held off during the parade so that the participants could ride on the cars with the tops down.  It was so much fun to watch the high schoolers participating in the parade.

Maci and Brandon Tiller in Kevin Harris' convertible driven by Mrs. Lough

Little Miss Viking, Mia Howerton.  She is ADORABLE.  Mia attends church with us. She and Maci conversed back and forth throughout the parade.
The Varsity Football players.
The Senior Class Float with Evan Koontz holding the "Dukes of Hazard" sign.
The Senior Class float did not win....the winner was the Freshman Class Float.

Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.  Psalm 31:24
