Veteran's Day

On Veteran's Day, Ripley hosts a Veteran's Day parade full of local veterans.  After the parade, Maci sang at a program in honor of our veteran's, at Wal-Mart.

Molli and I went to watch the parade, and stood at the City Building.  Charlie, Tarah, and Alex also happened to be there to watch.

Oh to watch a parade through a child's eyes.

This is our Pastor Jack Miller and Burt Parsons, who also attends church with us.
Alex collected lots of candy, and this flag.

It wouldn't be a parade without a band.  And just not any band, but the Ripley High School Band.  Directed by Maci Oiler and Katie Moore.

The firemen across the street from us would pick up candy and bring over to Alex during the parade.  So, we took Alex over to say thank you and to get his picture with the fireman and the fire truck.

 The Petersen family.
After the parade, we headed to Wal-Mart to watch Maci sing at a Veteran's Program.

Thank you, so very much, to our veteran's and for the service men and women who are fighting today for our freedom.  We will never really understand the high price that is being paid for our freedoms.
